Bio

Dr Luke Paterson graduated from the University of Manchester Medical School in 2016. During his medical degree, he completed clinical training at Royal Preston Hospital and across healthcare settings throughout Lancashire, developing strong ties with the local community and gaining valuable experience within local healthcare services.

Following graduation, Dr Paterson completed his Foundation training at Royal Preston Hospital before undertaking General Practice training at Blackpool Hospital and across the surrounding area. His training provided broad experience across a range of hospital specialties, giving him a comprehensive understanding of the assessment and management of both acute and long-term medical conditions.

Since qualifying as a General Practitioner, Dr Paterson has continued to work in Lancashire and is currently a GP Partner.

Born and raised in Preston, Dr Paterson has a particularly strong connection to the local area. He grew up on the same road as Greater Lancashire Hospital and attended a local school before going on to study medicine. Returning to practise in the community where he grew up has given him a strong appreciation of the healthcare needs of local people, and he is proud to continue caring for patients across Lancashire.

Dr Paterson believes that excellent medical care is built on strong, trusting relationships with patients. His approach combines clinical expertise with careful listening, clear explanations and treating every patient with compassion and respect.
