Dr Jeremy Boardman is a consultant neurologist based at the regional Neurosciences Centre at Lancashire Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. He graduated from Lancaster Medical School in 2011, as part of its inaugural cohort. His postgraduate medical training was completed across the North West of England, gaining Membership of the Royal College of Physicians in 2014. He subsequently undertook specialist neurology training at the regional neuroscience centres in Lancashire and Manchester.

Dr Boardman has broad clinical expertise across the spectrum of neurological disorders, with particular interests in headache, epilepsy, Parkinson’s disease, and multiple sclerosis. His subspecialist focus is in peripheral nerve and neuromuscular junction disorders, and he leads the peripheral nerve service at Lancashire Teaching Hospitals. He also contributes to regional governance as a member of the Manchester Sub-Regional Immunoglobulin Panel.

With a strong commitment to medical education, Dr Boardman holds a Postgraduate Certificate in Medical Education from Edge Hill University (2017). He is the undergraduate neurology lead for Morecambe Bay Hospitals, coordinating neurology education for students at Lancaster Medical School.

Outside of medicine, he is a keen footballer and squash player, and spends much of his time coaching his two sons’ grassroots football teams.
