About me
Mr Milind Dalal graduated from Bombay University in 1989. He then trained as a General Surgeon and acquired the basic surgical qualification, Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons (FRCS). He commenced his training in Plastic Surgery in 1992 in India and acquired the MCh(Plast) from University of Bombay. He then continued his training in Plastic Surgery in the UK in London, Wales, and then completed his Higher Surgical training in Plastic Surgery in the West Midlands. After acquiring the Intercollegiate Specialty Fellowship in Plastic Surgery FRCS(Plast) he completed a Cosmetic Surgery Fellowship at McIndoe Surgical Centre at East Grinstead, and a prestigious Fellowship in Microsurgery at Chang Gung Hopsital in Taiwan. He was appointed as Consultant in Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery at Royal Preston Hospital, Preston, UK.
Mr Dalal undertakes a full range of cosmetic and reconstructive Plastic Surgical procedures. He has an active and busy cosmetic surgery practice in Preston, Chorley, the Fylde Coast, and East Lancashire. He provides Plastic Surgery services in skin cancer, breast reconstruction and hand surgery in the North West. He is also known for his expertise in hypospadias surgery, and provides the largest Plastic Surgery training resource for this surgery in North West England.
He has an active interest in research and teaching in Plastic Surgery having published over 40 papers in medical literature and presentations at national and international scientific conferences.
Mr Dalal is currently the Clinical Director in Plastic Surgery at Lancashire Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust and is responsible for this department that serves the needs of Plastic Surgery of a population of about 1.2 million in the North West of England.
He currently is an Invited Member of the Specialist Advisory Committee (SAC) in Plastic Surgery at the Royal College of Surgeons, London that leads the Plastic Surgery training in the UK and Republic of Ireland. He is also a Member of the Intercollegiate Committee for Core Surgery Training that leads the early surgical training years in the UK and Republic of Ireland. He is an examiner for the FRCS (Plast) examinations conducted by the Royal College of Surgeons. He was formerly the Chair of the Plastic Surgery Training Committee in North West England that was responsible for the recruitment and training of all Plastic Surgery doctors in North West of England.
